Cole Ingle:

It's time, which is on that dude. He's D one. Oh, a hundred percent. It was a thing big time. D one Beauty. Sure. Was watching him throw the football shut

Stoy Hall:

out. Michael Pit, Kelsey Stud. Stud, uh, apparently call him plays for Eastern Michigan. If you're watching that live. Uh, doing pretty well. Former quarterback at Drake University. Hey, we should get'em on the show. Maybe we should just call in live right

Cole Ingle:

now. Part of the

Stoy Hall:

coaching tree. Yeah, we should, we should really do a coaching tree. Gotta do that This, this year. Maybe we can get some of these coaches because we got a good coaching tree. Yeah.

Cole Ingle:

Yeah. Bigger than anyone would assume. Way bigger than that. Even stink of I would say like five x bigger. Yeah. Possibly larger. another shout out, uh, to Jim Nelson. Yeah. Uh, his Fresno State Bulldogs, I believe are one in four to start the season. Mm-hmm. end of the season on an eight game winning streak. I believe it was, um, fellow linebacker, defensive lineman. Um, let's get

Stoy Hall:

it. Jim, is he your age? Yeah. Okay. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Jimmy.

Cole Ingle:

Jimmy. Um, but yeah, crazy to see. Um,

Stoy Hall:

yeah, just where everyone, it just, it's, uh, coaching is a small world, which I've learned from all of those guys. Yeah. But, uh, there's a lot of Drake in those bones. Um, not everyone knows of, so,

Cole Ingle:

so, uh, yeah. Yeah.

Stoy Hall:

Here we. We are back in town. Bumbo, Bumbo,

Cole Ingle:

bamboo's back. The bamboo

Stoy Hall:

is back. Maybe we can do a bamboo affiliate program. Yes. We actually should look into the liquor affiliate.

Cole Ingle:

Yeah. I mean, that, that makes, makes

Stoy Hall:

that sense. Yeah,

Cole Ingle:

makes sense. Yeah. Um, so we don't call it a comeback, but we are back, don't call it comeback. Um, who a little exchange this week. So I came in today to, uh, a. um, thoughtful, right? Secret Santa. Yep. Not so secret, but, uh, he, uh, mine comes in a brown bag. So you see the brown bag special. Um, this is why, uh, as I told Stoy, Stoy does not know what's in here. I mean, he kind of has an idea, but, um, there's something potentially great in here. And then there's also something definitely terrible in here. So, uh, we're gonna do like just a little grab bag segment for our shitty shots. Um, plus there's a little, you know, something for Stoy in here as well. Um, as we've, uh, reached Christmas Week, Christmas, you know, we're, uh, still several days away as Christmas is on a Sunday this year, which just kind of, oh, the C Lights deal with, but

Stoy Hall:

yeah, it is, it is odd to deal, deal with, yes.

Cole Ingle:

But, uh, as we make your day merrier and brighter for those viewing at. Just don't, um, we did it. Well, the lights are on, but the cameras don't work. Yeah. So, and we're

Stoy Hall:

starting all over

Cole Ingle:

folks, but, uh, yes, now, now we're good. Uh, so yeah, that should be, uh, this will be a fun little exchange, uh, with what I've got, uh, in my brown paper bag. So, uh, stay tuned brown and to see the surprise of the brown paper bag. As it will, uh, present itself here during the show today? Yeah.

Stoy Hall:

Um, no, uh, no college football, so don't worry about that. We do have been watching some ball games though, have you?

Cole Ingle:

Because I have not. Um, just bits and pieces here and there. Um, besides Frank Gores playing again, poking, poking my head in and out. As I turn on my, uh, YouTube tv. It'll show games and usually they're replaying decent moments of games. And you. walk through the game more quickly than if you're watching it live. So, um, there's been some pretty good games overall as far as just competitive scores, stuff like that, but not paying a, a ton of attention overall. But there's some decent games this week. Um, and then next week I'll obviously we'll jump in. Yeah. Um, with, we'll be back, back. Well, it'll be headfirst. We'll be jumping in next week, uh, with both feet, uh, up in the air. Yeah. Hopefully you can stick the landing, eh, and hopefully you know how to swim Well, I

Stoy Hall:

sink. Oh, that's great. I sink. My bones are dense. Yeah, that's fair. Not fat. I'm just big bones. Just big bone. It's fine. Alright, we, it's fine. It's all fine. Socap A little recap of the week.

Cole Ingle:

Don't call it a comeback. Oh. The week of the,

Stoy Hall:

on, uh, just

Cole Ingle:

NFL week 15 in a nutshell. Um, building a lead and. pissing it down your leg. I will

Stoy Hall:

say though, after the World Cup and how it finished getting into the craziness was like, you could not have drawn it up better. No. First of all, you could not drawn up the World Cup any better. Yeah. There's just no way you were watching. Oh, absolutely. Every minute of it. All right, good. Every minute we'll get to, we'll get to World Cup. Yep. That was, that was fun. Uh, but Thursday night football.

Cole Ingle:

Yeah. Met Thursday night football standards.

Stoy Hall:

Sure did. And by the way, um, the fraud or not from last week, the Seahawks had to prove and show us something. Yeah, they're frauds, in my opinion. They did not,

Cole Ingle:

they did not show us. They're not good. Here's the problem though. They're playing the, they were, the Thursday night football team they played is the team that we believed was not a fraud and is one of the up and coming teams to be. s considered Co Super Bowl contenders still on the fence, although I'm on the fraudulent side of the fence currently.

Stoy Hall:

If they would've covered, I would Agreed. That's fair. They didn't. They did not. That's fair. That's

Cole Ingle:

fair. They did not, it was not close. Um, but that was a terrible matchup for them because their defense, running defense specifically is the fraud. And they

Stoy Hall:

broke off like a 40 yarder in like the first three plays or something Crazy.

Cole Ingle:

It was. And that's the 49ers strength. Yeah. Uh, so that's why I. While leaning fraud, I'm not completely sold that they still can't, uh, sell. Now will they probably into the playoffs,

Stoy Hall:

get in the, they could still get the playoffs, right? So no one we'll cover that

Cole Ingle:

later in the, the old playoff, um, projection. Because it's gonna make me physically ill. You're done with them? Is done with the Seahawk?

Stoy Hall:

That was for the NFC South. Oh, That's

Cole Ingle:

fair. Just in general. Yeah. Okay. Um, so 49ers were three and a half points, uh, favorites. Um, we both had. Them on the money line. You had Seattle covering the three and a half. Uh, I had San Francisco, um, winning and we both had the under, uh, so it took a Thursday step up night. Yeah. Take a

Stoy Hall:

batum. Especially at 43 and a half.

Cole Ingle:

So, uh, yeah, one up, one up. Lead on you there. And, uh, we'll transition right to your hot land of. New quarterback. Same finishing team. Wait, what's that? Is that the season going down the toilet?

Stoy Hall:

No, we're

Cole Ingle:

still in it. No, that's the problem. We're only one

Stoy Hall:

game back we three to go. Yeah. Um, wow. Okay. So, um, Those who don't know, and we'll pull it up on the Twitter is our defense coordinator got sniped by one of the Saints players pre-game. Um, got carted off, had to go to the emergency room, apparently neck issues. Okay. So the whole bounty gate thing pops up on Twitter. Oh. Um, and I'm just, I'm loving it. It's hilarious. Oh yeah. But our first two defensive series showed Yeah. That obviously the guy filling in was not prepared to, like, he knew the game plan and everything. He didn't make adjustments yet and I feel as if, uh, peas would have or blitzed more, right? Cuz he was more comfortable to change something

Cole Ingle:

because they were down 14, nothing. They, 14. Nothing. They lose 20 to 18. 21. 18. Yeah. 21. 18. 2118. So like, there you

Stoy Hall:

go. And so he made adjustments, which I was great for. Um, again, overachieving on the defensive side of the ball. Excited for for next. uh, first half. So we had defense not ready to go in the first couple of series, and then we have a rookie quarterback coming in, which is always going to take him. Mm-hmm. time. Um, he came out, looked like a rookie, but he eventually,

Cole Ingle:

he, he settled in. Okay. I didn't watch the game, so you gotta gimme the, no, he, the context there.

Stoy Hall:

Um, you know, first play, they're gonna throw it deep. get the jitters out. Uh, he was just overheating'em. Yeah. Threw'em a little early.

Cole Ingle:

But Petris played for you? but then, oh wait, it was Ritter. It was

Stoy Hall:

Ritter. Okay. Sorry. And then you start to see his transition to, he calmed down, made some audibles, made some pinpoint throws, put one on London where only he could catch it. Gotcha. He, he started to get into that. You saw what you wanted to see. From him. From him, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Um, I'm not gonna blame him for, you know, the receivers not getting open. Um, play calling was bad. Okay. We tried two trick plays. We brought in our third string quarterback, who's a tight end as well, and ran two plays

Cole Ingle:

getting cute. Oh, that's cuz you were playing Tasso Hill though and he threw a touchdown

Stoy Hall:

pass. Exactly. So we thought like we put a guy in there, he could do it. No. So that was, that was actually really disappointing cuz if we would've ran the Marietta offense. Mm-hmm. I don't, I don't know why we just didn't do that. Okay. They started to get back to it at the end of the game, last drive, last two drives were specifically that. Right. And, um, so, you know, we're down, we're going down to drive. It's 2118 fourth and like four throws a strike to Drake, London. He catches it and then he just gets it punched out. Yeah. Granted, we're unlike their 25 30 yard. Field range for coup without a doubt. So you're like, you're in overtime. He just has to catch it in like mm-hmm. fall or not Get it punched out. Not it's his second, by the way, game losing fumble. Mm-hmm. He's a rookie. Hey, you live and learn. Right? Right. So now we're like, like, I'm like, damn it, we couldn't see Ritter's known for his big game gameplay, his comeback, and just that the it factor. Mm-hmm. he was starting to turn it on, but we couldn't see him all the way through. All the way through because someone else made a mistake. Um, he did make a couple throws. That should have probably been pick sixes, but hey, defenders can't catch. So

Cole Ingle:

are you like Lions 2.0? Uh, so like last year they only won two or three games last year, but like, You know, they're, they're finally where you're in every game. In every game. So like that's this year. Yeah. Maybe start of next year with getting used to Ritter more and then all of a sudden you win six outta seven. Yeah. I could see, you know, you're on the doorstep, you've got the talent, you've got the coaches in play, like the pieces are there, it's just a matter of four cohesion.

Stoy Hall:

Yeah. And a little more talent. Our defense is not,

Cole Ingle:

that's what I'm saying. So like from a, whereas the lions are, I think they're there. and not to say they can't improve in areas, but as far as, no, they're there competitive talent standpoint. They just needed to come together. They're at least middle to upper, upper. Mm-hmm. they're not, they're not below average in talent and overachieving in that department.

Stoy Hall:

I agree. Yeah. I would say that's true. Okay. Offensively, if Ritter can continue to develop, of course. Right, right. That's the only issue. He has three games.

Cole Ingle:

Gosh, I sure don't want to say he's no Jared. those words just came outta my

Stoy Hall:

mouth. Yeah. I don't, don't, let's not go there. Uh, so we gotta figure out who he is in three games. Cause then that's right. Then we might have to draft somebody. Mm-hmm. defensively though, they just don't have the talent depth. Big players making big plays, but then Yeah, there's nothing there. Um, what's great about that is we've got like 95 million mm-hmm. to spend this off. Right. And so I believe in, in of, of positions like defense is, can be a quick fix. Like you can fill that in right. With free agents fairly quickly. Mm-hmm. um, offensively they, they, they just need to be healthy and get a couple more offensive linemen. Like there's nothing talent wise. You've got the receivers, you got tight ends. Right. You just need a quarterback. Mm-hmm. got, you got running backs. One of the best, uh, rookie running backs in the league. Mm-hmm. averaging like eight yards of carry. It was crazy. Um, so you just need some defenders and we got a lot of money to play with and thanks to Marietta getting surgery mm-hmm. maybe, whatever that is, that's 17 million. We just saved. So sitting pretty. Uh, but that game was just another game. Another game we could have won if you finish, which we have not been fish

Cole Ingle:

finished, right? So you lose by three. Um, line was Saints minus four at home. Uh, you had Atlanta. Atlanta, so you covered the spread. Uh, I had New Orleans. New Orleans. So I got the money line. You had the over, I took the under, it was 42 and a half. Um, if that game goes to overtime and, or they score a touchdown on that last drive, that game goes over. Um, so obviously. Myself, the Nostradamus was correct. Yeah.

Stoy Hall:

Um, that's the week right

Cole Ingle:

there. And we will parlay this right into the fact where I've gotta talk about my squad because it's gonna make

Stoy Hall:

me physically ill. I just did it for you. I appreciate

Cole Ingle:

that. Yeah. I've gotten an against the grain take. I don't care that we lost this game. I do. I do not like how we lost this game. We were up 27 to 10 in the third quarter. dominating the game. Both sides. Uh, ran the ball through the ball. Didn't let a hot Jaguars team with a quarterback who is in the top two or three of QBR over like the last six weeks. Uh, good receiving core. Um, have a really good idea of what they want to do. Dallas controlled that game for two and a half quarters. However, give up a 27 10 lead. Don't close the game at the end on. couple of, for a couple of different reasons. Uh, play calling, play calling, um, lack of execution. Execution on their port. Part of inability to tackle a guy when you had him 12 yards away from the sideline and somehow let him get out of bounds. Um, so many ways that they lose that game that like all had to come together. So, not concerned actually at all about the loss itself. A little bit concerned with how we lost, but I think too many things had to come in. also consider that I have not at any point this season, put my full emotional eggs into the Cowboys basket. I shouldn't because this is what we do. This is what happened. Um, the biggest thing is it doesn't matter. Dallas is the five seed. No matter what they do the rest of the year, they're the five seat. I think that comes into defensive effort once you get into a certain point of the game where you're comfortable. So that means you're gonna start giving up big passing plays. You're gonna start doing a little less on offense as far as pushing the ball down the field when you have a 27 10 lead again, you shouldn't lose it. But all, a lot of things had to line up for a lot of teams this week in order to lose games. Dallas just happened to be one of them. Uh, I'm not concerned at all. I don't think it has any impact on the rest of the season. I don't think it has any impact on whether we win or lose a game in the playoff. um, I think we have the right recipe for how to win games. Um, Zeke is fresh still. Pollard is healthy. Dak is fine. Um, we had a ball on third and four that should have been caught by Noah Brown, who had a great game, had two touchdowns, uh, sliding catch, and it hits his shoulder pad the wrong. Nine out of 10 times. Even if he drops it, that will go straight down. It happened to pop up somehow off of a shoulder pad. Catch. Love to see him catch it with his hands. Dak puts that ball exactly where it needs to be. They get a first down, they continue the drive. They, they might won the game in overtime. So again, should he get it there? No, not overreacting. Um, for all of the, all of those reasons, get the Eagles this week without Jalen Hertz, um, eagles don't have much to play. it's gonna be an an overreaction game this week as well. Um, if the Cowboys beat the Eagles, then all of a sudden it's freaking out. Are they the best team in the NFC and all the talking? No, absolutely not. The Eagles have a way to win football games. The Cowboys have a way to win football games. If you can stop Jalen Hertz when it matters from being able to consistently run the football, you can beat the Eagles, the Cowboys, if they run the. 25 plus times a game and throw the ball 30 times or less, they're gonna win football games. Whichever team is able to dictate that more when, if or when they would play each other in the playoffs is gonna win that football game. Same type of thing with the 49ers. That's a very similar game playing to what you're gonna see against the Eagles. And I mean really the only other team, I mean who else are we looking at? And then fc, you got 49ers bucks. Nope.

Stoy Hall:

Jags stopper or, uh, painters who's coming out of the south. Stop it. You got the Vikings.

Cole Ingle:

Um, and Exactly, but they're similar. There you go. Um, Vikings are just fraudulent in general because, because they, they're so fraudulent, because they have holes. They can't run the ball ly, they're so fraudulent and they can't play defense. They cannot play defense. Like, what? Come back? When I look at the three teams in the nfc, I look at the Cowboys, I look at the Eagles, I look at the 49ers. Dallas has the best quarterback of those three. It's not, you can't. Brock, I love what Brock does for that system, don't get me wrong, but like, no, Dex, if a guy needs to win a game, there's only one of those three guys that you're Yeah. Taking, um, you know, hurts again if he is allowed to run. We have seen that teams for the most part tend to be able to make a quarterback throw in the playoffs. Um, it's why Lamar hasn't had as much mm-hmm. Um, now if. trend more towards being Josh Allen run when you have to. Not just like Justin Fields or anything like that. So that's gonna be the thing. Um, Eagles struggled this weekend. Mightly. Mm-hmm They should be um, find a way to win cuz really good teams find a way to win. Um, cuz on both sides of the ball, but, um, yeah. Not at, just not going to overreact to it again. Not that surprising. They should have lost last week to the Texans. Ended up escaping. You play with fire too many times. You're gonna get burnt. Uh, Uh, whether that is, you know, again, I mean it feels against the grain just because everybody wants to react to the Cowboys in a certain way. Not concerned. Jaguars are playing well. Um, and Lawrence is playing well, and when, when he was allowed to just throw the football, they threw the football all over the place. That's where Dallas is injured right now, is in the secondary, uh, you get tired throughout the. You know, cowboys made a play late to get a fumble, uh, on a potential game winning drive offense, didn't do their job. So yes, the defense let him back in. No, the offense didn't do their job. Offense did their job. Had a fluke play. So overall, again, not concerned. We sucked when it come to picking. We both had Dallas covering, uh, four and a half. We both, uh, no, you, you had the under, I had the over, so I did hit the, over at the 47 and a half high scoring game. Um, yeah, the game was back and forth as anticipated. I just thought the Jaguars would score more a little bit more early on. Um, but yeah, that game overall went about how I expected, except for I didn't anticipate the house to be up 27 to. Any point. So, yeah. Um,

Stoy Hall:

yeah, I would agree. Um, everything you said, uh, the only thing that I see, a trend that I don't like is offensively they're, they're not sealing these last two games out. No. We know they're good at it, which they have, and they have, they've shown it, they've proven it. It's just a trend. I don't like to see when you're getting towards the playoffs, so there's three games to go. They're, they're essentially locked into it, so that's fine. Like, let's against Eagles, let's just finish it. Mm-hmm. um, see what happens there. Then

Cole Ingle:

That's really two, the last three or maybe all three are division games. It might, yeah. Well, I'll be at division

Stoy Hall:

games. All right. Remember? Sure. Speaking of division games, giants and Commanders.

Cole Ingle:

Wow. Um, I'm not gonna spend a lot of time on this because we'll spend a lot of time on this game in the news segment. Yeah. So, We both had the commanders, um, winning this game. Uh, we both had the giants covering the four and a half, figured it'd be a close game because of the last game they tied Um, this game, the refs did not allow them to tie. They go over or go over. They were going to try and tie again. Same score, 20 to 20. Yep. Um, but yeah, we'll discuss that a little bit more. Uh, inevitably the Giants found a way to win. And it was a 20 to 12 final, so it was under 40 and a half. We both had the over, um, yeah, we'll talk more about that. But, uh, yeah, we both went one and two in the, in that game. And then Monday night football was shit. Game of the week. Exactly that.

Stoy Hall:

It was so pa I'm so glad I didn't watch it. I didn't care to watch. It wasn't ever going to, but then tuning in, like just reviewing it, looking at. Yeah. Oh and sad thing is the packers are still in it, so like the Packers fans are like still in it got a chance. Get the hell. Would you

Cole Ingle:

want that team? I've never seen so many bad tweets for a team that won by 12 points. I think it was 24 12. For a team that, yeah, basically one by two touchdowns. I've never seen so many negative tweets by general public for how badly, specifically their best player, their quarterback played, and then just in general, like the team for a team who really didn't give up a, didn't give up an offensive touchdown until there's 30 seconds left in the game. So like defense you would think would be getting more, but it was just like, that's how bad the rams are except for one drive. Against the Raiders.

Stoy Hall:

Now this time though, I believe the Rams defense let them down. I mean, I mean, they're just not, they're not the Rams defense.

Cole Ingle:

I mean, you gave up 24, 24 points to, well, they gave up

Stoy Hall:

Dodgers 14 and back Toback dress, like they just went two dressing 14. That was really the,

Cole Ingle:

I mean, yeah, nailing the coffin type of thing, but. Yeah, I just put up it's,

Stoy Hall:

it's not good. Yep. Bad, not good football, bad B, bad, bad, not good football. So I went, uh, six and nine. All right. All right. So I win. Um, I didn't fill out seven counter though. Oh, bad. What was that? Uh, yeah, so I have a shitty shot, um, but best bets the week I beat him. So we're just gonna put that out there. All right. Don't. No,

Cole Ingle:

I am. Uh, oh God. These are for us later. Right or left?

Stoy Hall:

Uh, a nod to my mom. She was a lefty sometimes in life. I think that was a good choice by you. Thanks, ma. Sheep dog. Sheep dog. Scoring at. Gold Schlager. Gold

Cole Ingle:

Schlager. Oh gold schlager. They reminded me of a snow globe when I saw it, so that's why I got

Stoy Hall:

this one. They should actually make a snow globe like they should need that. Hadn't had

Cole Ingle:

the gold schlager in a while, but boys

Stoy Hall:

remember last time you had gold schlager, huh? Yeah. Huh? I don't College. Yeah, but like that's it. Do you remember the specific memory? No. I just know that it's when it happened, it's in

Cole Ingle:

this cool looking bottle.

Stoy Hall:

Let's get gold soccer guys. It'll looks way get drunker

Cole Ingle:

faster. Yeah, cuz the gold, because the golden will cut your stuff. Gets the little cuts and you get the alcohol system faster. We

Stoy Hall:

are awful. Awful. But hey, that's true.

Cole Ingle:

Hey, so I hadn't seen that. Uh, peanut butter whiskey

Stoy Hall:

That's it. It's says woof.

Cole Ingle:

Yeah. Proof. Yeah. So cheap dog peanut butter whiskey, which would be, uh, similar. What we've seen within, uh, what are the other

Stoy Hall:

two? The bottle's awesome because that came out a lot faster than the shots of it. Yeah. Okay. Look, I'm gonna give you a sheep dog. I'm give you that

Cole Ingle:

because it's a little, the the hole is bigger on the bottle. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. The neck. Yeah. Is it's a thicker neck. Yeah. Um, that's why. So they're like, that's a good design, a good shooter bottle. Good, good, great design, but uh, compared to whatever

Stoy Hall:

its face. Smoother. Yeah, less of a kick. Gotcha.

Cole Ingle:

Because we've got two different types of peanut butter whiskey that we, I wanna say

Stoy Hall:

more peanut peanut butter lingers longer. Gotcha. Or that's just cuz I just took it. That's all I remember. That's right. But yeah.

Cole Ingle:

Well, I mean, in peanut butter and bananas, you can't go wrong. You teared it well. Oh yeah.

Stoy Hall:

See, look at that. Thanks mom.

Cole Ingle:

Yeah. Always looking out bud.

Stoy Hall:

Always looking out. Always be there, by the way. So, Might need to mix those next time. Yeah,

Cole Ingle:

that's fine. This. This is like, this is a uif, but this is an an US gift. US gift, um, with the good, with the bad and the good, bad and ugly. Um, I don't know how you feel about a very specific flavor that is in this bag. And so that is gonna determine how terrible it actually

Stoy Hall:

is. If it's black licorice, it is not okay, then I'm good. I'm fine. I wouldn't do that to us. If it's black, I would, I would throw

Cole Ingle:

up. So Jagermeister not your, I like Yeager though. That doesn't make any sense. No it

Stoy Hall:

doesn't. That's black licorice. But I can get, I can get Yeager down. Um, maybe cuz I do with bombs.

Cole Ingle:

I'm just saying plain ier had straight black

Stoy Hall:

licorice. To be fair, I was fed, uh, the original Yeager that had deer's blood in it. Yeah. When I was a kid. You were fed it. I fed it. Yeah, I was given it giveth.

Cole Ingle:

Yeah. I'd never tips', drank a lot of straight Yeager when I was in high school. Yeah. I mean, and that

was,

Stoy Hall:

it was good by the way. That was better. Was 21 better than now? Yeager Yer now?

Cole Ingle:

I haven't had Yeager in a

Stoy Hall:

while. I haven't either, but it was better I just

Cole Ingle:

know also, like I always wonder with Yeager is like, how are they the first one that, like how is the Yeager bomb, the original bomb of all the things you would mix with something else like barley. You know what, let's do Yeager first and then everything else. Can blow up, you know? Then the great bombs come in. Vegas bombs and everything like that are all post Yeager bomb. The kids don't know.
